[RL with Rose, the Bloody Hook in Kras City]

The Bloody Hook was, surprisingly enough, mostly a racers' bar. In the last year or so Jak had achieved quite a bit of fame on Kras City's racetracks, so he'd secured an out-of-the-way booth that people weren't likely to look into.

Of course, in Kras City, it was usually wise not to take an interest in anything shady in case the people involved decided to take an interest in you. Specifically in conjunction with the sharp objects that a lot of them seemed to be named after.

Jak was watching the door, waiting for Rose to arrive. He had a fairly good idea of what she'd look like from her icons, but he'd never met her in person, so he was watching carefully. Then again, anyone without the long, pointed ears that were common in Jak's world would probably be fairly conspicuous.

Rose took Jak's hand and got up easily. She looked at the new arrivals and arched a brow some before giving them a charming smile.

"I take it you know these fine fellows, Jak?" She asked him, without taking her eyes off the two men.

Jak nodded. "Shiv and Edje. They're on the racing circuit - they work for Razer. Gentlemen, this is Rose."

The two grinned and produced knives from somewhere. "Well, isn't it nice to meet you," Shiv drawled. "Might have to get to know you a little better, hmm?"

"'Course," Edje added, "we've got some business with Jak to take care of, first."

Jak turned to Rose. "They never learn," he said apologetically. "Perhaps now's the time for that demonstration."

"Perhaps," Rose replied with a smirk. She quickly drew her sword and lightly pressed the tip to the throat of one of the thugs. The smirk she wore became a bit more sinister. "But then again, I'm not so sure these guys are worthy of such a demonstration."

Jak nodded thoughtfully, staring at the duo's horrified expressions. "Perhaps not. I'd be obliged if you didn't kill them, though - I'd just as soon not have Razer mad enough to come after me personally. It'd be too much of a hassle; he's actually competent."

Edje, the one without a blade at his throat, dropped his knife and swallowed nervously. "Yeah. Uh. That sounds like a great idea to us. We'll just, uh, leave you guys to what you were doing, then..." He started backing away slowly.

"Aw, really?" Sounding disappointed, she lifted the blade away from Shiv's throat, leaving a small shallow cut there, but didn't sheath it just yet. "I was hoping for a bit of sport from these guys. But if it would cause too much trouble for you, Jak dear, then I'll back off."

Shiv, showing remarkably little sense of self-preservation, snickered. "'Jak dear'? I can see why he ditched the mechanic."

Jak raised an eyebrow. "I suggest you gentlemen leave before I decide that I don't care if I have to deal with Razer after all."

Edje tugged on Shiv's sleeve. "C'mon, Shiv, let's get out of here before he changes his mind. We can deal with him sometime when he doesn't have her with him."

"Now," Jak said as the two left, "where were we, dear?"

Well they were easy to deal with, Rose thought as she sheathed her sword. "I believe we were off to find someplace more private. Unless of course you want to see my abilities, then we should head off to some place where we can have a lot of action. I would hate to transform into my dragoon armor and not be able to do some damage."

"I suppose the demonstration can wait, then." Jak smirked and offered her his hand again. "Shall we?"

"You're such a gentleman," Rose returned the smirk and put her hand into his. "Lead the way."

Jak led her upstairs to an empty room and shut the door behind them. "So, just what did you have in mind, hmm?" he asked teasingly.

Rose pulled away from him and took off her gloves along with her sword belt, letting them drop to the floor. "Well first, would you mind helping me out of this armor?"

Jak grinned wolfishly. "Glad to." He moved over to help her, pulling off his own gloves as he went.

Now that was a look she liked. Returning the grin, Rose started undid the first few hooks to the thick leather armored jacket she wore, moving to meet him half way.

"Eager, aren't you?" Jak murmured. "If this isn't your Dragoon Armor, I'd hate to have to get you out of that."

"Just a little," Rose purred as she reached to grab his jacket in order to pull him closer. "Is there a problem with me being eager?" She leaned closer so that their faces were just inches apart.

"Not at all." Jak closed the distance and kissed her.

Rose returned the kiss passionately. Her hands started pushing his jacket off his shoulders.

Jak shrugged his shoulders a bit to help it along. He didn't break the kiss for a surprisingly long time.

Rose slid out of her own jacket once the last few hooks were undone, showing that she wore a thin sleeveless shirt under it. She wrapped her arms around his neck, enjoying the kiss as she pressed up against him.

Jak finally broke off the kiss - mostly because it would have been difficult to remove his boots otherwise. He grinned. "I think I'm going to enjoy this."

"You and I both." Rose took the oprotunity to take off the leather outer skirt she wore and jet it join the rest of her armor on the floor. She made her way over to the bed in the room and sat down on the edge.

Jak pulled off his shirt and tossed it and his goggles in the general direction of where his jacket and boots lay. He joined her on the bed, running a hand over her shoulder. "Now, what was this idea of yours?" he asked again.

"How about I just show you?" Rose leaned over to press herself against him again and gave him another passionate kiss.

Something happened though just as she started to deepen the kiss. Her muscles tensed up as something dawned on her. She shouldn't be doing this! Feeling like she just woke up she pulled away from Jak.

Jak sat back, looking stunned. For a moment, he didn't say anything.

When he finally found his voice, he said, "Please tell me I'm hallucinating and we weren't actually about to..."

"Unless we were both hallucinating, then I am afraid we were just about to," Rose replied as she move further away from him. Her voice was no longer light and flirty, instead it went back to its usual cold and stoic tone.
